Music News
This Wednesday April 14th selected 4th and 5th
graders will be performing at Meymandi Hall in the Progress
Energy Center, downtown Raleigh. This performance is part of
the Raleigh Fine Arts 12th Annual Choral Celebration. This is
the second year Barwell will participate and Ms. Long is excited
to announce she will be conducting one of the joint selections
Stars, by composer Tom T. Shelton Jr.
This piece was composed by Mr. Shelton in honor of the Society's
10th anniversary and in recognition of the Zaytoun Family for
their support. She is very honored to be conducting the piece as
this is only her second year being a part of the celebration and
she knows Mr. Shelton personally. Preparations are underway for
the event. Check back for details and photos of the
